Virtual Finnair is a community of flight-sim pilots operating the real-world Finnair route network and schedule — from Helsinki to Tokyo, New York and beyond. One of the longest-running virtual airlines on the scene, now flying on vAMSYS.
One of the oldest virtual airlines around — founded in the late 1990s on the early flight-sim scene. We migrated to the modern vAMSYS platform in the 2020s, carrying twenty-plus years of community continuity onto a contemporary toolset.
Our timetable mirrors the real Finnair schedule — pulled and refreshed regularly so the bookable flights you see match what's actually flying that week.
We operate the same aircraft families Finnair does: the A350-900 long-haul backbone, the A330 fleet, A321, A320 and A319 narrowbodies, and the Embraer 190 and ATR 72-500 regional jets flown by our partner Norra.
All pilot management, flight booking and ACARS tracking runs on vAMSYS — the same modern platform used by some of the largest virtual airlines in the hobby.
Beyond the modern fleet, we offer a growing library of historical Finnair timetables. Step back in time and fly the MD-11, DC-9, MD-82, MD-81, A300, Boeing 757 or A340 on schedules from Finnair's past.
From short hops on an ATR turboprop to overnight rotations to Asia in an A350, our virtual fleet mirrors Finnair's real-world line-up — including current registrations and special liveries.
The long-haul backbone. Helsinki to Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Doha and the North American hubs. 18 airframes in service, with one further delivery expected by end of year.
Reliable widebody workhorse for medium long-haul and seasonal leisure routes. Two additional airframes on dry lease under Australian registration.
The narrowbody backbone — high-density European rotations from Helsinki to the Mediterranean, the British Isles and the Alps.
The everyday workhorse for high-frequency Northern European routes — Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, the German hubs and beyond.
Smaller narrowbody for thinner European routes and secondary destinations where the A320 would fly half-empty.
Operated under our colours by Norra on thin European and Nordic routes. Further deliveries expected late summer.
The turboprop workhorse for Nordic regional routes — short fields and thin demand from Helsinki to Vaasa, Kuopio, Joensuu and beyond.
Next-generation replacement for the E190 fleet. More fuel-efficient with longer range — will expand Norra's network reach.
From a single airport on the edge of the Baltic, our schedule reaches Tokyo, New York, Bangkok, Doha and every European capital worth a weekend.
We welcome pilots of every experience level — from first-time tubeliner sim flyers to type-rated real-world pilots. No flight tests, just a passion for the hobby.
